A fungus called candida is responsible for the yeast infection. This is a microorganism that occurs naturally in vaginal area. Lactobacillus bacteria check the growth of it. However, if there are certain imbalances in the body system these bacteria are not able to work properly. The improper and ineffective working of the lactobacillus bacteria enhances the growth of the yeast. As a result vaginal infection occurs.

- Tight undergarments should be avoided.
- Cleanliness is essential.
- Avoid using clothes during period instead opt for good quality pads.
- Avoid unbalanced diet.
- Products with lactobacillus should be taken for example yogurt.
- Try and opt for wearing natural fibers like silk and cotton.
